how to wear a medical mask correctly

1. Before putting on a mask, clean your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
2. Cover your nose and mouth with the mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
3. Avoid touching the mask while wearing it. If you do touch it, clean your hands again.
4. Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp.
5. To remove the mask, grasp the ear loops or ties and remove without touching the front of the mask. Discard immediately in a closed bin and clean hands again.

It’s important to note that wearing a mask is not a substitute for other preventative measures, such as social distancing and frequent hand hygiene.
